FAQ’s
01. What are autonomous delivery robots?
These robots rely on sensors and cameras to perceive their environment. They create maps, plan routes, and use machine learning to avoid obstacles and reach their destination. Some robots are controlled remotely by human operators.
02. Do these robots replace human delivery workers?
They are designed to assist human delivery workers, especially for repetitive and time-consuming tasks. They can handle routine deliveries, allowing humans to focus on more complex tasks.
03. How will automation affect my employees?
Autonomy gives the robot the ability to know and recognise the environment in which it is working. This gives the operators more working capacity, as they do not have to be aware of the robot.
Therefore, this will be a first change for workers: to be able to focus on the tasks they perform without the need to supervise the robot and to free themselves from mechanical, heavy and even dangerous activities.
04. What about privacy concerns with cameras on these robots?
Most autonomous delivery robots are equipped with cameras for navigation and security. However, they are programmed to respect privacy, and data collection is typically limited to the operational environment.
05. Are these robots environmentally friendly?
They can be more environmentally friendly than traditional delivery methods, especially if they are electrically powered. They reduce the need for fuel-based delivery vehicles and decrease traffic congestion.
06. Are autonomous delivery robots safe?
Safety is a top priority for these robots. They are designed with multiple layers of redundancy, obstacle avoidance mechanisms, and emergency braking systems. They also adhere to strict regulations.
How it works?
Scan QR Code
Customer orders items for delivery via QR code.
Order is then sent to food outlet POS system to be prepared.
Step 1
Delivery Loaded
Outlet places food in cabin for delivery to customer and locks cabin to ensure secure delivery and sends unit on its way. Customer is notified items are packed and on their way.
Step 2
Delivery Dispatched
Unit leaves outlet and commences journey to customer
Step 3
Delivery Received
Customer receives notification that item has arrived. Customer has unique PIN code/QR code to access their delivery to unlock cabin. Once delivery is complete unit then moves on to make next delivery.
Step 4
